POWTECH GAINING EVER MORE IN IMPORTANCE

LARGE NUMBERS OF VISITORS

AT THE KOCH TRADE FAIR STAND

In addition to regularly having stands at the most important German packaging trade fairs "FachPack" and "Interpack", we also frequently go – with smaller stands – to the sector-specific fairs of our customers. For instance we again had our own presentation at the Powtech – from 27 – 29 March 2007 – in Nuremberg.

With over 15,000 visitors from the trade, the fair in Nuremberg saw the numbers rise by 13%. The great range of applications of mechanical process engineering in virtually all sectors of industry has for many years made Powtech the foremost fair for all manufacturers and operators of plants for powder, granulate and bulk material technology, and also for particle analysis.

But the process engineers and production managers from the various sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food and ceramics were not only interested in the special process technologies; the KOCH stand also had the people coming in droves. "We had been reckoning with about the same number of visitors as last year, so we were a little undermanned on the first day", grins Ulli Koch, one of the two managers of the parent company in Dernbach. "As specialists for turnkey filling and packaging systems, and with our many years of expertise and our customer-driven, one-stop portfolio of products and services, we had a unique position at the fair. Bespoke and flexible complete solutions for handling, packaging and palletising using state-of-the-art robot systems which guarantee extremely high availability of up to 98%? We're second to none in this respect," says Reinhard Koch, the company's founder.

Represented for the first time at the fair: the recently established
KOCH Robotersysteme München GmbH & Co. KG. Engineer Jan-H. Röseler, joint manager of the branch with Ulli Koch, was delighted with the successful start:
"With over 150 prospects, the joint 'temporary headquarters' certainly attracted more than a lot of visitors. We're looking forward to the post-fair business."

The fair team presented to the knowledgeable visitors:

  • KOCH filling, packaging and picking systems: the high-availability complete solutions featuring flexible robot systems and reliable KOCH control and software modules.
  • Current major projects: fully automatic picking systems for the chemical industry and complete bag-filling lines for the flour-milling industry.
  • The new high-speed bag palletising system engineered by KOCH: for robot bag palletising boasting astonishing speeds in excess of 1,000 bags per hour.
